All requests under the Right-to-Know Law (RTKL) must be directed to the designated Right-to-Know Officer (Open Records) for appropriate handling:

West Pennsboro Township –  2150 Newville Road Carlisle, PA 17015

Phone: 717-243-8220

You can submit your requests via mail, fax at (717) 243-1592, in person, or through email, which enables electronic submission of your request.

When filing a request, it’s essential to clearly identify or describe the records you’re seeking, allowing the Right-to-Know Officer to accurately determine the requested records. Please include your name and mailing address for the response. There’s no need to provide a reason for your records request.

Though verbal requests may be accommodated, only written requests are eligible for the relief and remedies outlined in the RTKL. The RTKL mandates a response within five (5) business days, and verbal requests will not expedite the Right-to-Know Officer’s reply.

Please note that when submitting a request, your focus should be on obtaining records rather than seeking legal advice, opinions, or guidance. The RTKL only necessitates the release of public records and permits reasonable fees to be charged, including but not limited to copying and postage costs.
