Pavilion Rentals

West Pennsboro Township is proud to offer five fantastic pavilions for use and rent, perfect for hosting a variety of events, from family reunions and picnics to sports events and community gatherings. Our pavilions are available to different types of groups, with fees assessed accordingly. Read on to learn more about our rental options, fees, and application procedures.

Group Types:

1. Group 1 – Includes all activities organized and/or operated by Township personnel, such as Township-sponsored sports leagues, church, civic, service and scout groups, and all Big Spring School District activities.
2. Group 2 – Represents non-Township individuals, not-for-profit organizations, sports leagues, church, civic, service, and scout groups.
3. Group 3 – Encompasses any organization (Township or non-Township) sponsoring events (e.g., tournaments, fundraisers, etc.) where the purpose is to raise funds.

Pavilion Rental Details

Our pavilions can be rented for various durations, with fees based on the facilities required and the group type. Please note that rental of a pavilion or other facility does not grant exclusive rights to any other park amenities or areas. All rentals are done on a first-come, first-served basis, and permit applications can be submitted no earlier than one year before the rental date.

Application Procedures:

1. Complete and submit the “Pavilion and Recreation Facility Permit” to the Township, along with the appropriate rental fee or rental deposit.
2. Report cancellations to the Township as soon as possible. Cancellation fees apply.
3. The applicant is responsible for maintaining the condition of the rented facility/area and all equipment and supplies.
4. Township staff will review all requests, issue permits upon approval, and reserve the right to assign facilities.
5. Permits are non-transferable without prior written approval from the Township.
6. Ensure no fundraising activities violate State or Township regulations.
7. The applicant indemnifies and holds the Township harmless from any claims or liability arising from their activities or use of the facilities.
