ANNOUNCEMENT: A BURN BAN IS IN EFFECT FOR WEST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP. THE BAN BEGINS ON 10/29/2024 AND ENDS ON 11/28/2024.
Our dedicated road crew is responsible for maintaining approximately 61 miles of roads within the township. Our top priority is to ensure the safety and convenience of our residents and visitors.
Please check our website regularly for updates on road closures, detour information, and ongoing construction projects. We urge all motorists to SLOW down when traveling through construction zones to ensure the safety of our workers and the community. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Road Superintendent at 243-8220 x104.
During the winter months, our road crew works diligently to keep our roads clear and safe for travel. We kindly ask that you DO NOT place your trash totes and/or recycle bins near the roads during this time. This will help prevent damage to both Township vehicles and your trash totes.
To clear your driveway efficiently and safely during snow removal, please refer to our diagram illustrating the proper technique.
To prevent damage to both your mailbox and Township vehicles, mailboxes should be placed a minimum of 4 feet from the edge of the blacktop. This distance will ensure that your mailbox is less likely to be damaged by snowplows during snow removal operations. If you have any questions regarding mailbox placement or need further guidance, please feel free to call the Township for assistance.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep our roads safe and well-maintained. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach out to the West Pennsboro Township Highway Department at 243-8220 x104.
